This workshop explores poems from the curriculum, with a focus on handwritten drafts, Heaney’s writing process, and the historical context that led him to write these poems.

We offer close reading workshops for all post-primary students. From a fun and informative workshop on Heaney's most-loved poems for Third Years to Leaving Cert exam preparation for Fifth and Six Years, students are supported to examine three poems to engage with the themes within Heaney's poetry whilst developing a deeper understanding of the context behind the poems.

We are particularly specialised in providing exam support for the Leaving Cert, offering both online and in-person workshops that provide students with a deeper understanding of the chosen Heaney poems whilst also providing a wider context for what inspired Heaney and how the different poems relate to each other to support essay writing.
