Introduction Text
The National Library of Ireland has been building the national collections for over 140 years. Over that time, Irish society has changed and evolved. For this reason, we now challenge ourselves to ensure that we reflect the change and diversity in what it means to be Irish.

Where possible, the National Library of Ireland strives to make our events, tours, exhibitions and resources easily accessible to as many people as possible.

While the following resources are most suitable to those who communicate using Irish Sign Language  or require access to live captions, the National Library of Ireland is engaged in ongoing work to improve our resources making them accessible to all.

If you have feedback, or a request to make any of our resources more inclusive to your needs, or that of a particular community, please feel free to contact us at learning@nli.ie or heaneyexhibition@nli.ie.
