In Person

Join us for this talk by Patrick McDonagh, the NLI Research Studentship holder, as part of Heritage Week.

The National Library of Ireland holds the largest collection of surviving original parchment deeds relating to medieval Ireland globally. Written in Latin, Anglo-Norman French, and Middle English, they include a wide variety of historical records which provide a wealth of information about late medieval Ireland – one of the most fascinating periods of our history. This public lecture will provide an accessible overview of this collection and draw attention to some of its greatest treasures.
