From the Hearth to the Sky

Join us for a family-friendly tour on Heaney's family, filled with fun activities and special poems!
As Heaney says, “poems learned early on, poems with truly imaginative quality, end up being sounding lines out to the world.” Poetry can introduce children to new worlds, enhance memory and encourage play. It can offer an outlet for creative thinking and emotional expression from a young age. Join us at Seamus Heaney: Listen Now Again, for an enjoyable, interactive and family-friendly tour where we will explore Heaney’s family through poetry.
Family was the heartbeat of Seamus Heaney’s poetry. He wrote about kitchens, fields, everyday objects, and the people that he loved. His poems about his family are like photos in a family album. This 28th and 30th October and 1st November at 11:30am, bring the family on a fun exploration of family life through five special poems.
