The alder is my darling,
All thornless in the gap,
Some milk of human kindness
Coursing in its sap.
In celebration of the Autumnal season, join us at Seamus Heaney: Listen Now Again Saturday 17th October at 2pm for a relaxing, creative workshop that blends poetry and printmaking. Using simple printing techniques and natural materials such as leaves and sticks, you’ll learn to create beautiful, textured artworks inspired by the natural world.
We will draw inspiration from three of Heaney's works: The Poplar, The Golden Bough and Sweeney Astray. Each in their own way delights in and revers the beauty of trees, asking us to take stock this October and notice the changing beauty around us.
