Join us in celebrating the 30th anniversary of the awarding of The Nobel Prize in Literature to Seamus Heaney!

On December 10th 1995, Seamus Heaney was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature "for works of lyrical beauty and ethical depth, which exalt everyday miracles and the living past."

We invite you to the National Library for a celebration of the 30th anniversary of this award, where Poetry Aloud winners past & present will be reading a selection of Heaney poems, along with musical accompaniment.

A reception will be held at 6pm, with the ceremony itself beginning at 6:45pm until 8pm.
