The NLI wishes to offer our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Sinéad O'Connor.

Sinéad O'Connor's debut single Troy was released in 1987 from her studio album The Lion and the Cobra. Written by O'Connor, the lyric was based on the poem No Second Troy by William Butler Yeats.

Below, you can listen to O'Connor reading  No Second Troy, which is featured in our exhibition Yeats: The Life & Works of William Butler Yeats, located at our Main Library building, 7/8 Kildare Street, Dublin. (Credits: Martello Media)
