Ticketing Terms & Conditions
By booking ticket(s) for an exhibition, program or event via the
National Library of Ireland (NLI), you agree to be bound by the following
Terms & Conditions and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
These Terms & Conditions apply to attendance at all NLI sites, including
Kildare Street, the Bank of Ireland Cultural and Heritage Centre on
Westmoreland St, the National Photographic Archive at Meeting House Square, as
well as any other temporary NLI locations and online platforms.
- Visitors
should arrive promptly at their exhibition entry time or the event start
time, and should have their e-ticket/s downloaded on a mobile device or
printed in advance of their arrival. In the case of ticketed online
events, access to the online platform will be via a link emailed to
attendees in advance of the event.
- All
tickets will be offered subject to availability at the time of booking,
and are valid only for the date, time and event/ exhibition booked.
- Latecomers
may be admitted to an exhibition or event only at the discretion of the
NLI team.
- Filming
and photography is not permitted at NLI locations and online platforms
(screenshots included) unless otherwise stated.
- Visitors
enter NLI locations at their own risk, and are solely responsible for
their belongings
- Tickets
may not be exchanged or refunded, except in the case of an event
cancellation or exhibition closure.
- Tickets
are non-transferable. Information shared for accessing an event or
exhibition is for the ticket holder only and cannot be shared with third
parties.
- NLI
reserves the right to cancel, close and make essential changes to
exhibitions, programs and events without notice. Should cancellation of
any event be necessary, the NLI will use reasonable endeavours to contact
all customers who have booked tickets in advance but we cannot guarantee
that you will be informed of such cancellation or rescheduling.
- The
NLI team reserves the right to refuse admission or to ask ticket holders
to leave NLI premises or online platforms with reasonable cause.
- NLI
tickets are only valid when booked via the NLI website or team members.
Any ticket re-sold for profit is void and the holder may be refused entry.
- Unless
otherwise indicated, all graphics, logos and commercial markings are
registered trademarks. You may not use, copy, reproduce, republish,
upload, post, transmit, distribute or modify any Trademarks in any way,
including in advertising or publicity pertaining to or distribution of
materials, without prior written consent.
- The
NLI may provide links to third party websites. If you visit these third
party websites, you should review their privacy and cookies policies to
ensure you understand, and are comfortable with, their practices
concerning your personal data. We are not responsible for the privacy
policies and information protection practices of any third party website.
You access them at your own risk.
- It
is understood any persons under the age of 18 who are using the NLI
website or accessing NLI events are doing so with the express permission
and supervision of adults.
- If
there is a stated age range for an event, we ask all visitors to respect
the designated age range when booking.
- Visitors
are expected to adhere to government guidelines and public health measures
when accessing NLI locations.
- The
NLI reserves the right to make changes to these Terms & Conditions at
any time without prior notice.

- We
understand that when you book NLI tickets, you trust us with your
information and we want to assure you that we take your rights seriously.
Any personal information which you volunteer to the NLI through the use of
our website and booking system will be treated with the highest standards
of security and confidentiality, strictly in accordance with the current
data protection legislation including the GDPR.
