POETRY ALOUD 2021...Open for virtual entries

To celebrate the joy of speaking and listening to poetry, the National Library of Ireland and Poetry Ireland, in partnership with University College Cork are delighted to announce the POETRY ALOUD Poetry Speaking Competition 2021 for post-primary school students. This year's first round will again be a virtual competition.

Poetry Aloud is the annual poetry speaking competition open to all students attending second level schools on the island of Ireland run by the National Library of Ireland and Poetry Ireland.

All the details required to enter is on the Poetry Aloud Information and entry form- including the list of prescribed poems and the terms and conditions for entry.
