Talk: WB Yeats and Nature Poetry

Thursday 16 September, 11am

Speaker: Ruth Concannon, NLI

Join us for an exploration of WB Yeats’ nature poetry accompanied by a guided meditation.

In this talk we’ll be taking a closer look at two of WB Yeats most beloved nature poems; The Lake Isle of Innisfree and The Wild Swans at Coole. In these poems, Yeats’ interactions with nature serve as a powerful reminder of the profound ways that focusing on nature can help to improve your mental wellbeing. This close-reading workshop will end with participants invited to take a mindful moment through a guided meditation that aims to embrace the calm of nature.
