Children’s Books Ireland Book Clinic with the NLI

Are you a young reader? Looking for a new series to delve into? Feeling uninspired by your bookshelves at home? Do you need a prescription for an exciting new read? Then pop into the virtual Children’s Books Ireland Book Clinic at the National Library of Ireland!

Chat to the Book Doctor Becky via Zoom, consult on your favourite reads and leave with a prescription for your next book which you can take to your local bookshop or library. The Book Doctors give expert guidance about books to children and their families. Based on an informal chat, the Book Doctors recommend excellent books for young readers aged 0-18, supported by Children’s Books Ireland’s many reading resources.

The Children’s Books Ireland Book Clinic with  The National Library of Ireland is suitable for ages 0-18 years. Spaces are very limited so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment!

These clinics will be presented on Zoom and each child’s consultation will be 15 minutes in duration. A parent or guardian will be required to be in the same room as the child during the Zoom session. Please note a 15 minute slot is for one child, if you have more than one child who would like to speak to the book doctor please book an extra time slot.
