The collections of the National Library constitute a unique learning resource for students of all aspects of Irish history and culture. The Library has devised a broad educational programme to maximise this potential, providing a wide range of services for primary, post-primary, third level students, lifelong learners and educators.

In collaboration with the Primary Curriculum Support Programme, the Library has developed special primary school workshops and tours of the Yeats exhibition.

Post Primary
The National Library offers a variety of resources specially designed for post primary students including historical case studies and specialised tours of the Yeats exhibition.

Third Level
The National Library is an excellent resource for students and teachers at third level and the Library offers a number of services to undergraduate classes.

Lifelong Learning
In keeping with its committment to life long learning, the Library hosts a regular course on WB Yeats in collaboration with the UCD Department of Adult Education. It also participates in such initiatives as the Bealtaine, Age & Opportunity Festival.

The Library regulary organises storytelling and creative workshops for children and has devised a special "My Yeats" family trail to accompany the Yeats exhibition.
