Ireland in the 80s: The Full Picture | Food
What did Ireland really eat in the 80s?
Ann Marie Duffin of Bia Duit, whose exploration of Irish food history has a huge following online, explores how the way we ate, cooked and thought about food changed forever.
Inspired by our exhibition at the National Photographic Archive, Temple Bar, marking 40 years since Live Aid, Ireland in the 80s: The Full Picture takes a fresh look at the decade.
Ann Marie Duffin is a writer and documentary producer from Co. Wexford. She runs Bia Duit, a digital project exploring the history and heritage of Irish food: customs, seasonal traditions, regional dishes, forgotten ingredients and everyday Irish food brands.
