Join the NLI to mark the launch of another year of the Yeats Summer School, with this screening of the opening ceremony live from Sligo.

Taking place in the National Library of Ireland's Joly Theatre, join us for a live performance of some of Yeats' most beloved poems by musician and singer Enda Reilly from 6pm before tuning in to the opening proceedings of the Yeats Summer School 2026 in Sligo at 6:30pm.

With a welcome from both Director of the Yeats Society Susan O'Keette and Honourary President of the Yeats Society & NLI Director Dr Audrey Whittey, the evening will include a performance of an original poem written for the occasion by the society's poet in residence Annemarie NíChuirreáin and an address on the theme of The Presence of Yeats by acclaimed playwright, poet and academic Frank McGuinness.
