The evening will begin with a short reception from 5:45pm, followed by the lecture at 6:30pm.

Now a fixture in Dublin’s literary calendar, the annual Joseph Hassett Birthday Lecture invites leading writers and to reflect on the work and legacy of WB Yeats.
Fintan O'Toole is a columnist with The Irish Times and advising editor of The New York Review of Books. He has been awarded the Orwell Prize, the European Press Prize and the Robert Silvers Prize. We Don’t Know Ourselves: A Personal History of Modern Ireland was named as one of the ten best books of 2022 by the New York Times.
