The Chairperson and Director of the National Library of Ireland (NLI) invite you to join us in marking ten years since Ireland made history as the first country to approve marriage equality by popular vote.

To commemorate this pivotal anniversary, the NLI will host a special panel discussion reflecting on the 2015 referendum and the Yes Equality Digital Archive, generously donated to the NLI in 2020.

The panel will include: Brian Sheehan, former Co-Director of Yes Equality; Karl Hayden, filmmaker, photographer and LGBTI+ activist and Anna MacCarthy, activist and organiser with LGBT Noise.

Anna Nolan, Chairperson of NXF (National LGBT Federation) and television producer, will chair the discussion.

Reception from 6.15pm | Panel discussion begins at 7pm and will run to approximately 8pm.

Please note the Joly Theatre is fully accessible and ISL interpretation is available on request. For more information on getting here please see our website: Accessibility | National Library of Ireland or contact us at development@nli.ie
