Join us for a tour of the exhibition People and Places at the NLI’S Photographic Archive, in Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, Dublin 2. People and places showcases the wide breadth of photography in the NLI’s collections that relate to the history of cities, towns, villages and townlands across the island of Ireland, and the people who inhabit them. The exhibition comprises 50 photographs taken between 1858 – 2001, representing the age of analogue photography in Ireland The exhibition captures the social, cultural and technological changes that have taken place across Ireland from the middle of the 19th century up to the turn of this century.
