Cruinniú na nÓg: The Gorgeous Georgians

Join us as we celebrate Cruinniú na nÓg

Saturday 15 June, 2pm - 4pm

Join Heritage Expert Melissa Shiels for a fun and interactive session learning about what Georgian ladies (and men) used to make themselves beautiful, featuring 18th century clothing and hair-and-makeup demonstrations.

This event includes a range of interactive demonstrations featuring the beauty routines of Georgian men and women of the late 18th century.  Melissa Shiels showcases a variety of Georgian ladies fashions while going through the step-by-step process of a fashionable lady's beauty regimen to get ready for a hectic social schedule.  Learn how many of our modern practices, such as meeting friends for coffee, became popular in the Georgian era, and shape how we interact with each other today
