Visual documentary screening: ‘Georgie's Vision’

Public viewing of the documentary made by producer, Deirdre Mulrooney on Georgie Hyde-Lees

Thursday 13 June, 1pm

In September 1917, WB Yeats proposed to 25-year-old Georgie Hyde-Lees and they were married in October of that year. In this documentary we learn more about this extraordinary but self-effacing woman who was the catalyst for her husband’s greatest poetry, yet said “thank-you for leaving me out”. Contributors to the documentary include Professor Margaret Mills Harper, Ann Saddlemyer, Caitriona Yeats, Mark Patrick Hederman, the late John Montague and Pat Laffan.

Deirdre Mulrooney is an independent curator and documentary maker.
