Software Developers (two posts)
The National Library of Ireland is currently seeking two software developers to join the Digital Collections team. The Digital Collections department supports the Library's remit through digital collecting, digitisation, developing and maintaining its library infrastructure and ICT.
The successful candidates will undertake development tasks focused on enhancing the NLI's existing digital repository system; provide analysis and programming support for data mapping and conversion projects, and for systems and workflow integration projects; develop and integrate the NLI's online catalogue and public web interfaces; contribute to the maintenance, deployment and documentation of code produced within the Information Systems team; and represent the NLI in the digital library and open source communities.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a stimulating and challenging environment, to solve interesting problems and to gain experience in industry-standard technologies and in best-practice approaches within the digital domain.
