The pre-2001 part of the General Collection (with no prefix, or else the prefix G) is, for the main part, stored offsite, with the exception of the following sequences: 300-399; 900-92. These are in the main Library building. (In practice, the General Collection contains much material of Irish interest; for example, many books printed in Ireland, and books by Irish authors on a variety of subjects, not specifically Irish.) The Dewey sequences were closed at the end of 2000.
All books catalogued since (except reference books and those for Special Collections) are added to the ongoing collection described above.
