The music collection consists of printed music scores, mostly dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. The core of the collection is Joly Music, part of the Joly gift which is one of the foundation collections of the Library. The collecting focus in recent years has been on music by Irish composers or composers who lived in Ireland.
'Quadrille on Irish airs' or 'Dublin Quadrille' by J.T. Stone. London, Brewer & Co [18-?].The printed music collections are located in the main Library building. In addition there is a small but significant collection of manuscript music in the manuscripts collection, housed at 2–3 Kildare Street.
