The National Library of Ireland wins an Ireland eGovernment award.
The 11th Annual Ireland eGovernment Awards took place on 25 April 2012 in
Dublin Castle, Dublin.
eGovernment Award 2012
The Ireland eGovernment Awards is jointly run by the Public Sector Times newspaper and web usage and web strategy experts Elucidate. The awards are now in their eleventh year. The Ireland eGovernment Awards are the recognised benchmark for excellence in Irish eGovernment services and standards.
The National Library were shortlisted in the Social Media Category, along with The Defence Forces; Bord Gáis Energy Book Club Social Media Support Campaign; Give Blood Awareness (Irish Blood Transfusion Service); and the Road Safety Authority. Very stiff competition, so we were delighted to win the 2012 eGov Award for Best Social Media.
