Line-up for Summer's Wreath 2010 announced

Summer's Wreath, the Library's annual June celebration of Yeats' birthday will begin in style on Wednesday 2 June when Hollywood star, Anjelica Huston, will discuss her life-long love affair with Yeats' poetry with broadcaster John Kelly.

The series will continue throughout the month of June and will include lunchtime readings and reflections by (amongst others) Mary O'Rourke, T.D.; Brian Keenan, writer; Polly Devlin, writer; and Eileen Dunne, broadcaster. Musical entertainment on a Yeats theme will be provided by a diverse range of internationally-acclaimed performers, from Cerys Matthews (former singer with rock band Catatonia) to Abbot Mark Patrick Hederman and Nóirín Ní Ríain. We are also delighted to announce the participation in the series of renowned academic and writer, Professor Germaine Greer.
