Based in Tralee, Maurice and Jane O`Keeffe have spent the past twenty years compiling in audio, cataloguing and archiving oral history around the counties of Ireland. At present, an oral history collection is being compiled with close relatives of those central to events at Easter 1916, part funded by the Department of Arts Heritage and the Gaeltacht. In April 2013, Minister Jimmy Deenihan T.D. launched Jane O`Keeffe`s book Voices from the Great Houses of Cork and Kerry which is published by Mercier Press.
