Dr Conchubhar Ó Crualaoich has worked in the Placenames Branch since 2000.  Prior to this he lectured in Old Irish and Medieval Irish Studies for over 6 years in Maynooth as well as tutoring German in NUI Maynooth’s Language Centre.  In addition to his work on researching Placenames he has written numerous articles in academic journals and will be publishing a two-volume book on the Placenames of Wexford later this year.
