Bibliofiles lecture series

Wednesday,  5th February at 7 pm

Our popular Bibliofiles series kicks off the new year with a lecture by Dr Anthony Jordan on 'Dubliners and Ulysses: Arthur Griffith’s influence on James Joyce’. James Joyce’s relationship with Arthur Griffith spanned 20 years, 1901-1922.  Reading Griffith’s newspapers , "United Irishman" & "Sinn Fein"  Joyce in exile became an advanced nationalist.

The BiblioFiles series provides a platform for writers, academics and others who have used the NLI's facilities to talk about their research and other work they have carried out at the Library.

Many of our events are free. If you would like this to continue, you can support our Events Programme by making a donation. Donation boxes are located throughout the NLI building.
