Join us on the eve of All Ireland Poetry Day for a talk by teacher, writer and performance artist Miriam Kilmurry, who will examine  the place of Francis Ledwidge among the canons of WWI literature.

More about Miriam Kilmurry

Miriam Kilmurry, is an ex-teacher and a member of the Teaching Council of Ireland. She also performs and directs plays under the stage name Miriam St. Lawrence. In the last twelve months she has sung two world premiere solo mezzo-soprano arrangements of Ledwidge's war poetry composed by renowned Irish composer Michael Holohan, a former chairman of The Association of Irish Composers and the Droichead Arts Centre, Drogheda. She also  performed Ledwidge's 'A Soldier's Grave', at the first ever televised RTE Remembrance Day celebrations in the Republic of Ireland on November 11th 2012.
