The Independent Newspapers (Ireland) Collection is held in the National Photographic Archive/The National Library. This significant photographic collection - consisting of more than 4.3 million photographic negatives - depicts Ireland’s political, cultural and sporting life between 1912 and 2002. This panel discussion will consider the place of photojournalism in the national cultural collections.

Panel: Michael Hinch (Editorial Imaging Manager, Independent Newspapers Ireland), Anne-Marie Kilfeather (Photo Archivist and Researcher, Independent Newspapers Ireland), and Tom Burke, (Photojournalist with Independent Newspapers Ireland since 1967).
