Lecture: 'Yeats, music and the psaltery'

In the fourth lecture of the series Object Lessons: Yeats in Focus , Professor Harry White (UCD) will discuss Yeats' interest in the psaltery and the chanting of poetry. Yeats' psaltery is December's Object of the Month and will feature in guided tours of the exhibition during the month.

December's Object of the Month: Yeats' Psaltery

Professor Harry White has been Professor of Music at University College Dublin since 1993 and has held visiting professorships in musicology in several universities in Europe and North America. He has published prolifically in musicology and is regarded by The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians  as the 'leading Irish musicologist of his generation'.

Professor White was elected to the Royal Irish Academy in March 2006.
