Noli Timere: Reflections on the life and work of Seamus Heaney

Professor Michael Parker, Emeritus Pofessor of English Literature at the University of Central Lancashire, whose publications include Seamus Heaney: The Making ofthe Poet and Professor Stephen Regan, of the Department of English Studies, Durham University  with Dr Esther Armstrong, University of the Arts, London will present Noli Timere: Reflections on the life and work of Seamus Heaney on Tuesday,  December 2nd.

 First performed in September 2013 for the Irish Literary Society in London, the programme features readings of and commentaries on Heaney's poetry, as well as specially filmed interviews with Roy Foster and Bernard O'Donoghue. It also incorporates extracts from Charlie McCarthy's documentary, Out of the Marvellous , produced by IceBox Films for RTE on the occasion of the poet's 70th birthday.
