The second of this Library Late series focussing on biography will feature acclaimed journalist, broadcaster and historian Tim Pat Coogan.

Coogan's books include Ireland Since the Rising (1966); The IRA (1970); On the Blanket: the H Block Story (1980); The Troubles: Ireland's ordeal 1966-1995 and the search for peace (1995); Wherever Green is Worn: the story of the Irish diaspora (2000) and Ireland in the Twentieth Century (2003). He was editor of the Irish Press between 1968 and 1987 and his biographies of Eamon de Valera (1993) and Michael Collins (1990) are best sellers. His memoir (to be published in September) is long awaited and reveals both the public and private lives of one of Ireland's most influential historical writers.
