About the event:

The repertoire for the evening will include the music of the harper composers such as the Connellan brothers and Turlough O’Carolan.  However, the programme will primarily be made up of newly arranged music from the manuscripts of Patrick O’Neill  (Pádraig O'Neill) of Owning, Co. Kilkenny (1765 -1832) which are part of the NLI’s manuscripts collection. The collection gives a window on the musical and cultural life of Tipperary during the late 18th Century.

The evening will include:

Kathleen Loughnane – harp
Cormac Cannon – uileann pipes, flute and whistle
Catriona Cannon  - harp
Moya Cannon  - poet.

Poet, Moya Cannon will read a number of poems which reflect her love of music, as well as some of her recent work.

All welcome. Booking not required.
