Access and Copying Facilities
Access
A Reader’s Ticket is necessary in order to consult printed books. A full Reader’s Ticket with photograph is required in order to consult items from the following collections: LO; Dix; Joly, Swift; Thom.
The Irish and special collections are available on demand in the main Library in Kildare Street, apart from the Yeats material which must be consulted in the Manuscripts Reading Room. A Manuscript Reader’s Ticket is necessary to consult items from the Yeats Library.
Most of the General (non-Irish) Collection is kept in our offsite store. Material is collected from this store on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
Copying Facilities
It is possible to get copies of most items in the collections, provided the material is in good condition and will not be damaged by copying and subject to the constraints and limitations of copyright law.
